Amadou & Mariam is a musical duo from Mali which consists of couple Mariam Doumbia and Amadou Bagayoko. Also known as the “blind couple from Mali”, the pair met in an institute for blind youth back in the 1970s and have been making inspiring tunes ever since.

As an ex-French Colony, one of Mali’s national languages is French, so many of their songs are in French.
